awarded to sculpture graduates at the University of Applied Arts Vienna.

INTRODUCING ...

When opened, the book sculpture reveals a typeface made of cast aluminium letters, based on the letterpress typeface. When closed, it is presented to the award winner in book form. The cover is made of transparent acrylic glass. The Donauland Non-Fiction Prize and the current year are engraved on the spine, and the letters of the prize winner's name are individually distributed on both sides, arranged and engraved in reference to the aluminium letters on the inside. The character set visualises the idea of forming words, sentences and thoughts with letters, which, thanks to this system, enable individual expression.
